A Lifetime of Creativity
After studying at Pratt and graduating with a degree in Graphic Design, Marcus began his career as a graphic designer, collaborating with PR, marketing, apparel and hospitality companies to brand restaurants and hotels throughout the Northeast.
He is heavily influenced by the design techniques of David Carson, Paula Scher, and Barbara Kruger. Marcus is in all respects a "typography nerd" and has a great appreciation for the contributions of Claude Garamond in the world of typographic design. As well as, the surreal caricatures of Ralph Steadman and the crisp illustrations of Mike Giant.
These particular influences lend themselves to the design needs of high end clientele, underground metal bands, and hip hop artists alike. Marcus also draws inspiration from his world travels, traditional tattoo culture, and the New York punk scene. He currently lives with his wife and son in Westchester, NY.
